As part of Maths Weeks, the pupils in 6th and 5th Class took part in a two hour workshop today, Wednesday 18th October .
The workshop, Chess for Numeracy with Red King Chess, was provided free of charge by Celbridge Library.
They learned the basic rules of chess, played mini games and participated in team challenges and incorporated some mental maths. The pupils showed great focus and were fully engaged in the workshop.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience!
