We tuned in to two more Meet the Scientist webinars over the past two weeks, a surgeon on 22nd November and a Blood Collector on 29th November. Both webinars were full of information about these jobs and we all learned lots of new things about what their jobs entail. Leon asked a great question and, to the excitement of the class, his question was read out and answered during the webinar. Leon wondered if the Blood Collector had to wear special clothing when putting samples in the freezer. Their freezer needs to be extremely cold (-80 degrees) in order that the samples stay good for lab work. Our freezers at home are around -18 degrees!
