Road to Paris – Dare to Believe – Olympic Challenge
6th Class has been engaging with the Road to Paris programme. This is a cultural and physical programme. The programme takes four weeks to complete. There are lots of activities to complete, including learning all about the modern Olympic, learning about the mascots, the Olympic Oath, the events in the Olympic games, quizes and all about the host city. The pupils have created their own mascots. We have also learned all about some of the Irish team members – Sarah Lavin, Rhys McClenaghan, Afric Keogh , Kellie Harrington and Harry McNulty.
These athletes have also been putting the children through their paces with warmups and skills involved in their disciplines.
We log all our activities everyday, including these movement breaks, our dance break, daily mile and any other activities the pupils are involved in after school. The programme has certainly encouraged and motivated us to get moving.
